The canyon is one of the natural wonders of Turkey and it is 300 meters deep along 18 km , among the deepest in the world, it can be visited only during the hot season when the water: the snow that has melted from Mt. Tauro after winter, has come its way up to the Mediterranean Sea. The groove has been formed due to a phenomenon of aquatic abrasion lasted thousands of years. Il canyon è fra le meraviglie naturali della Turchia e si trova a 300 metri di profondità , lungo 18 km, fra i più profondi del mondo,può essere visitato solo quando la stagione è calda e l'acqua : neve che si è disciolta dal monte Tauro dopo l'inverno , ha percorso il suo tragitto fino al mar Mediterraneo . In this section we reward the best photos of the month, photos in the
plural not singular, because we are unable to reward photos every day,
for reasons of time. The photos in this section include issues with
strong social values: photos showing discomfort, exploitation, social
conflicts, photos in areas affected by war or guerrilla wars and
internal conflicts. Photos showing geographical portions of
unquestionable beauty, because the shape of the earth, such as air and
food mold the peoples themselves. Photos showing strong and eternal
feelings such as friendship,the feeling of humanity, love, happiness,
but also the desolation .Photos that capture a moment, a 'very special
action in nature, like a bird that catches the last drop of rain. Photos
with creative, very sophisticated elaboration ,so they do reflect on
some concrete and metaphysical problems, such as the surrealist
pictures. We thank those who participate with their works in this

In questa sezione premieremo le migliori foto del mese ,foto al plurale
non al singolare,perchè siamo impossibilitati a premiare foto ogni
giorno,per ragioni di tempo. Le foto di questa sezione prevedono temi
con forti valori sociali:foto che mostrino disagi,sfruttamenti
,conflitti sociali ,foto in regioni colpite da guerre o guerriglie
,conflitti interni. Foto che mostrino porzioni geografiche
dall'indiscutibile bellezza ,perchè la conformazione della terra,come
l'aria ed il cibo plasmano i popoli stessi. Foto che mostrino forti ed
eterni sentimenti come l'amicizia,l'amore ,l'allegria ,il sentimento di
umanità ma anche la desolazione.Foto che catturino un momento ,un
'azione molto particolare in natura,come un uccello che cattura l'ultima
goccia di pioggia. Foto dall' elaborazione creativa molto sofisticata
,che facciano riflettere su alcuni problemi concreti e metafisici, come
le foto surrealiste. Ringraziamo chi parteciperà con le sue opere a
questa sezione che riteniamo la più importante tra quelle presentate.

Carrasqueira. The number of piles (shelters for fishermen) has
definitely made the landscape unique and characteristic. They are in the
nature reserve of the Sado River, near the beach of Comporta. As always
the angle chosen by Freire is unique, the scaffolding, that leads to
piles, forms a "y", the place looks charming and mysterious.

Carrasqueira . La serie di palafitte (rifugi per pescatori ) ha
sicuramente reso il paesaggio unico e caratteristico. Esse si trovano
nella riserva naturale del fiume Sado ,vicino alla spiaggia di
Comporta . Come sempre l'angolazione scelta da Freire è unica ,il
ponteggio che porta alle palafitte forma una "y" ,il luogo appare
affascinante e misterioso.
