Interior of a cabin of the train stopped at the station of Kamalapur. A woman with a red veil is able to read in dim light. The composition is perfect, the color red stands in stark contrast with the rest. The big , attentive eyes,completely enthralled by reading, attract the viewer's gaze.
Kamalapur Station, the largest in the country,model of functional architecture and reminiscent of the country's culture designed by the American architect Robert Boughey.
It is a large lotus as a large umbrella,that protects travelers in arriving and in departing, but also many homeless that during the night and monsoons, find shelter here.
The station was opened in 1969, a major communications hub for travel between Dhaka and the rest of Bangladesh. About 50 trains a day pass by here and there is also one for visiting the "cousin" India.

Interno di una cabina del treno fermo alla Stazione di Kamalapur. Una donna con un velo rosso riesce a leggere in penombra. La composizione è perfetta ,il colore rosso contrasta fortemente con il resto . Gli occhi grandi ,attenti , rapiti completamente dalla lettura , attraggono lo sguardo dell'osservatore.
Stazione di Kamalapur ,la più grande del paese,modello di architettura funzionale e che richiama la cultura del luogo, progettata dall'archietto americano Robert Boughey,un grande loto che come un grande ombrello protegge i viaggiatori in arrivo ed in partenza ,ma anche molti homeless che durante la notte ed i monsoni ,trovano rifugio qui.
La stazione fu aperta nel 1969,importante hub di comunicazione per il trasporto tra Dhaka e il resto del Bangladesh. Circa 50 treni al giorno passano di qui e ce n'è anche uno per far visita alla "cugina" India.
